2026 is going to be a busy year in terms of my writing projects. My novel “Identity Crisis” came out in October of last year and it’s been doing really well! I’ve been doing character charts for all the main characters. Showcasing the process of creating them and to help readers get an even deeper understanding of who they are. Those are on my instagram page (lexijames_25) so you guys should check those out! There’s still many layers and side projects that are tied to IDC that have yet to be announced, but there are also numerous other projects that I’m eager to share. One of them being a series that I started a little bit ago but haven’t been able to fully commit to: Monthly book reviews! In the midst of writing, I’ve gotten back into consistent reading which has been beautiful. As a writer, it’s very important for me to be an avid reader. The two of them just go hand in hand and my book shelf is overflowing with new stories to dive into.
So we got a new book every month, reviews will be posted on my website with snippets on insta. I’m super excited for those, once we get a good rhythm with the book reviews…ya girl will be sliding into some TV reviews. Now that’s my bread and butter right there. That’s a post for a later date, but we got some good shit coming and it has me so excited!! I also am trying to set a goal to read a lot more books this year. Right now the goal is at least one a month but I’m hoping I can squeeze a few more into the year as well. The goal is to try and post the book review at the end of every month, ya girl is already a little late with January but don’t worry that one will be coming very soon. It’s for a book called Lie To Me by J.T. Ellison and it’s such a fun read! I hope you guys check out those reviews every month and let me know what you think.
Doing all these writing projects have reignited by love and passion for the craft, 2026 has been a hard year to digest with everything going on in the world so far and it’s only February. I’m so lucky to have this creative outlet to not only help process the world and all the complex emotions that come with it. It also allows me to express myself the way I want without any limitations. Freedom of speech is the most precious thing that we have as human beings, we should never let anyone try to silence us. Individuality is so important at a time like this. We’re all humans living on this floating rock in space, we are one people and that should never be forgotten regardless of background. Thank you again for all the love and support, it truly means the absolute world to me. 2025 helped me fall back in love with writing, 2026 is the all about the beautiful results that come from that deep love. Thanks guys!
